Access cards are provided to CNSI Members, guests of CNSI Members, building staff, building tenants, and Core Technology Center users. To obtain an access card, please follow the appropriate procedure.
CNSI Members
An access card will be issued when your application for membership is approved. Arrangements to obtain the access card will be made at that time. The access card will provide entry to the building and elevator access to all public and laboratory floors. Members can request guest access cards for their visitors by emailing the following information to security@cnsi.ucla.edu.
- Host name, email address, and phone number
- Guest name(s)
- Date(s) of visit
- Room(s) requiring access

Please contact the hosting CNSI Member to request an access card.
Building Tenants
Access cards will only be granted with the approval of the group administrator or the group PI. For non-Crump Institute laboratory access, fill out the CNSI Building Access Request Form, then email it along with a photo to security@cnsi.ucla.edu. Carbon copy (cc:) your group administrator or PI on the email. If you require access to Crump Institute laboratories, please contact Erika Corrin at ecorrin@mednet.ucla.edu.
NOTE: All tenants working inside a laboratory suite are required to complete an annual training course on Laboratory Safety Fundamental Concepts offered by UCLA Environmental Health and Safety. Some laboratories may require additional training courses.
Technology Center (TC) Users
Please visit the following links for procedures on becoming a CTC user. Once the CTC new user requirements have been met, the CTC administrator will request an access card on behalf of the user. The administrator will contact the user with instructions on how to obtain the card once it has been created.
