The California Nanosystems Institute’s Nano and Pico Characterization Laboratory and HORIBA are pleased to present a one-day seminar on December 5, 2024. Advanced Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) is an analytical technique used to characterize nanoparticles in liquid suspension, focusing on their size, concentration, and movement. It is a more sophisticated version of standard nanoparticle tracking analysis, incorporating enhanced methodologies or technologies to improve accuracy, sensitivity, and functionality.

About the speakers: 

Jeff Bodycomb: product line manager at HORIBA, has spent decades analyzing particles and is responsible for technology improvement and providing technical support to customers. Jeff has developed particle analysis instruments and analyzed materials with a variety of imaging and scattering techniques. He has worked with particle systems ranging from nanoparticles to coarse powders.

Julie Y. Chen, is the Particle Science Liaison at HORIBA Scientific and the founder of JCAnalysis, a specialized analytical testing service focusing on nanoto-subvisible materials. Julie earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry with a focus on Biochemistry from the University of California, Irvine. Her expertise extends across various domains, encompassing business development and the management of collaborative studies.
