The California Nanosystems Institute at UCLA and UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry are pleased to co-host the annual Glenn T. Seaborg Symposium and Medal Award Dinner on November 23rd, 2019. This year’s Glenn T. Seaborg Medal Recipient is Dr. Paul Alivisatos (picture displayed on the right), a professor of chemistry and materials science & engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. The event is comprised of a free symposium featuring distinguished speakers with exceptional backgrounds in chemistry and biochemistry and a dinner (RSVP required) following the symposium. About the Glenn T. Seaborg Medal: The Glenn T. Seaborg Medal was established in 1987 by the UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to honor individuals for their significant contributions to chemistry and biochemistry. The medal is awarded annually. The recipient is chosen by the UCLA Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry Executive Committee. Dr. Seaborg’s life, work and contributions are best characterized by one word – excellence. Read more
