Summer Capstone Program

The California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA has launched a three–part program, with support from the state of California, to enhance student engagement with industry partners and address the need for training that aligns with the needs of California’s high–tech employers. As part of the initiative, the ten–week CNSI Summer Capstone Program is for rising and graduating senior undergraduates. For summer 2023, students will work in teams to examine a case study startup company asking for funding and learn how to do due–diligence from the perspective of a potential investor. Using their existing STEM knowledge and program–acquired business knowledge and skills, they will make an investment recommendation pitch. For their time and participation, students will receive a weekly stipend of $600.
